Overview

Position Title: Intern – Data Management & Records Management Support

Department: Data & Records

Job Purpose

The Data Management Team is seeking a motivated student/intern to support the Authority's Data Management and Records Management functions. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in data administration, records management, document management, technical support, and information governance within a professional regulatory environment. The role will provide exposure to modern enterprise technologies, including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Fabric, Python, and SQL. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills while contributing to the management of information assets, business records, and technology services that support the Authority's day-to-day operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the management, organisation, and maintenance of the Authority’s information, data, and records management systems. 
  • Provides administrative support for SharePoint sites, document libraries, records registers, documentation, procedures, and information inventories. 
  • Supports records management activities, including filing, digitisation, indexing, archiving, document retrieval, and compliance-related tasks. 
  • Assists with testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of systems, processes, and data management solutions. 
  • Supports the operation of the Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse environment, including monitoring, documentation, and routine maintenance activities. 
  • Contributes to data quality, validation, automation, and data-processing initiatives using tools such as Python, SQL, and related technologies.

Technical/Professional Expertise

  • Currently pursuing a degree (MQF level 6 or equivalent) in a relevant ICT, information management, or data-related field.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured manner.
