Position Title: Authorisations Technical Analyst
Department: Authorisations – Regulatory Directorate
Reports to: Senior Executive – Authorisations
Job Purpose
As a Technical Analyst within the Authorisations Department, the candidate will be responsible for the reviewing and processing of various applications handled by the Authorisations Department.
Key Accountabilities/Key Activities
- Reviewing documentation submitted by gaming operators in relation to various applications, including ones pertaining to the obtainment of a new licence (including but not limited to application forms; operational policies and procedures, gaming systems, technical setups, and operational agreements);
- Reviewing system and compliance audit reports, and conducting live studio inspections and/or examinations where required;
- Ensuring that operators are compliant with the applicable legislation, and are operating in accordance with the Authority’s directives and policies;
- Reviewing and monitoring compliance of gaming operators’ systems and put forward recommendations to the various departments of the Authority and committees;
- Ensuring completion of reviews and technical infrastructure examinations, and to provide independent, objective assurance and recommendations;
- Formulating and/or maintaining the processes/policies required to achieve the objectives of the Department;
- Liaising with other Departments as necessary;
- Carrying out special investigations or other assignments that may be requested from time to time including but not limited to on-site inspections overseas;
- Participating in meetings and/or calls with prospective applicants or general queries;
- Ensuring the goals and functions of the Authority and the Department are met and that professional standards are maintained at all times;
- Carrying out any other duties/tasks as may be instructed from time to time by management.
Technical/Professional Expertise
- Diploma in areas related to computer science, information systems, business, finance, or accounting (Level 5 or equivalent);
- Willingness to pursue recognized certifications like CISA or equivalent;
- Previous experience in information systems and financial auditing is considered an asset, but we also encourage those with a strong interest in the IT industry to apply;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple engagements, and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to identify high-risk areas, presenting your findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing;
- Take ownership of your responsibilities, demonstrating motivation, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
